I am a very active person.
I work out 5 to 6 times a week and have ran 28 marathons in 25 states (half the country). Even after accomplishing these marathons and being active, I still did not take enough time to really know my body.
A true statement that comes to mind: things change over time and if proper health is not incorporated into everyday life, having good health as we age becomes more difficult to maintain and activity levels may drop.
Take my parents for example, both were extremely hardworking, yet both passed on at relatively young ages. I truly believe that we are all responsible for our own health.Â Healthcare and medical guidance of doctors is important; however, we should all take a more active role in our own personal well-being.
When it comes to training and fitness, a personal trainer will push you on a physical level and once you reach a certain physical condition, their job is done. A fitness coach is different, by working with you continuously to motivate on a physical, mental, and social level as well.
